Zelkova Kiwi Sunset, commonly known as the Japanese Elm, is grown for its brilliantly coloured foliage and lovely form. The leaves emerge lime green in spring, age to become golden yellow through summer, then take on red tones through autumn before falling. It grows with an upright and broad habit as it reaches 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide. Zelkova Kiwi Sunset is a showy tree that is commonly grown as a specimen or used to line an avenue.
