Sophora godleyi Goldies Mantle is a variety of Kowhai with a semi-weeping form. It features mid green, fern like foliage that has a soft appearance. The foliage is adorned with masses of golden, pea like flowers through summer which attract birds and other wildlife. This small tree typically grows to 6 m tall and 2.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate dry periods, semi-wet soils, coastal environments, frost, and some wind.
