‘Pendula Aurea is a colourful Willow which is grown for its bright and cascading foliage. The foliage comprises soft-green leaves held on golden branches. As autumn progresses the leaves develop bright yellow tones before falling which provides for a fabulous display. The leaves are held on pendulous branches which will reach to the ground. This deciduous tree typically grows to 10 m tall and the same wide so should be given plenty of space. It performs best when planted in full sun or partial shade on soils that remain consistently moist. It will tolerate frost and cool climates but does not cope with extended dry periods. ‘Pendula Aurea is commonly planted around water features, grown as a specimen, or included in a mixed planting in a large garden.
