Pyrus Korean Sun is flowering pear tree grown for its flowering, tidy form, and autumn colours. It features deep green foliage that develops burgundy red-purple tones in autumn before falling. Masses of white flowers are borne in spring just as the leaves emerge. This flowering pear tree grows initially with a pyramidal habit but later develops a broad crown, typically reaching 3.5 m tall and 4.5 m wide. Best results with this tree are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, wind, dry periods, and heavy soils.
