Pyrus Candelabra

Pyrus Candelabra is a variety of Ornamental Pear grown for its flowering, tidy form, and fantastic autumn colours. The leaves emerge mid-green in spring, darken through summer, then turn brilliant shades of red and orange through autumn before falling. Masses of single, white flowers are borne in spring just as the leaves emerge. It grows initially with a pyramidal habit but later develops a broad crown as it reaches 6 m tall and 3 m wide. Pyrus Candelabra is commonly used for street or avenue planting, grown as specimen, or added to a mixed planting in a larger garden.
