Pyrus 'Candelabra' is relatively low maintenance once established. Water during extended dry periods especially through summer. Apply mulch around the base to conserve moisture and suppress weeds keeping it clear of the trunk. Light pruning in winter will maintain its natural structure and remove any crossing branches. Feed in early spring with a balanced fertiliser to support healthy growth and flowering.

Pyrus 'Candelabra' size, spacing, and growth rate

Pyrus 'Candelabra' typically grows to around 6 to 8 metres tall and 4 to 5 metres wide in NZ conditions. It forms a strong upright framework with distinctive layered branching.
