Poplar Kawa is a fast-growing, deciduous tree. It features a tight and upright form around a central trunk. The leaves are green and develop strong yellow tones in autumn before falling. It will grow quickly to about 25 m tall and 8 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best when planted in full sun across all soil types except extreme dry. It is hardy to frost, cold environments, dry periods, coastal conditions, wind, and wet soils. The rapid growth rate of Poplar Kawa makes it ideal as a shelter belt, for screening out noise and dust, or for soil conservation and riparian plantings.
