Podocarpus ‘Ardmore Green’ is a variety of the commonly known Totara tree. This small, NZ native tree features bright green foliage made up of short, needle like leaves, held densely. It grows with a pyramidal shape to about 10 m tall and 3 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site, though it is tolerant of mild drought, frost, cool climates, and coastal environments. Podocarpus ‘Ardmore Green’ is commonly included in a mixed planting in a large garden, grown as a specimen, or trimmed into a hedge. It is great for adding variety to a garden.
