Pittosporum 'Zen' Details

Pittosporum ‘Zen’ is grown for its colourful foliage which is a blend of dark green and purple-red. This evergreen, NZ native shrub typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of most soil types, except extreme wet. It is also hardy to coastal conditions, moderate frost, some wind, and dry periods though does benefit from protection while establishing. Pittosporum ‘Zen’ is an excellent choice for hedging, growing around pools or barbecue areas, adding to a mixed planting, using as a backdrop for smaller plants, or maintaining in a container. Space plants 50 cm apart for hedging.
