Osmanthus fragrans, commonly known as the Tea Olive or Sweet Olive, is an evergreen tree that produces highly fragrant flower clusters. The white flowers appear in spring, with some sporadic flowering through summer and autumn. It grows to about 10 m tall and 5 m wide, bearing oval and leathery, glossy green leaves. Osmanthus fragrans is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, used for screening, contained in a courtyard planting, or included anywhere the fragrance of this plant can be enjoyed.

Tea Olive Osmanthus

The Tea Olive Osmanthus is an evergreen tree that produces highly fragrant flower clusters. The white flowers appear in spring, with some sporadic flowering through summer and autumn. It grows to about 10 m tall and 5 m wide, bearing oval and leathery, glossy green leaves. This tree performs best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun and will tolerate dry periods and moderate frost.
