Nothofagus cunninghamii, commonly known as Myrtle Beech, is an evergreen, Australian native tree that grows to 30 m tall and 15 m wide. The foliage comprises small, dark green leaves which are held densely in loose sprays. New growth in spring is coloured red-pink-orange. Nothofagus cunninghamii makes for a lovely specimen and is commonly added to a mixed planting in a large garden.

Nothofagus cunninghamii, commonly known as Myrtle Beech, is an evergreen, Australian native tree that grows to 30 m tall and 15 m wide. The foliage comprises small, dark green leaves which are held densely in loose sprays. New growth in spring is coloured red-pink-orange. Best performance with this tree is achieved when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, exposed positions, dry periods, and sites with poor fertility. Nothofagus cunninghamii makes for a lovely specimen and is commonly added to a mixed planting in a large garden.
