Neomyrtus pedunculata, commonly known as rōhutu, is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to New Zealand, found from Northland to Stewart Island. It grows 6 to 8 metres tall and features leathery, silver-green leaves and distinctive square-angled stems. In summer, it produces dainty white flowers followed by orange to red berries that attract native birds.
