Myrsine aquilonia, commonly known as Coastal Matipo, is a hardy NZ native shrub or small tree naturally found in coastal and lowland forests. This evergreen species features glossy green leaves with reddish new growth and produces small, inconspicuous flowers followed by berries that attract birds.
