“Fairy White” is a large shrub grown for its spectacular flowering and glossy foliage. This evergreen produces masses of large and showy, pure white flowers in spring. These fragrant blooms are produced amidst the dense, dark green leaves. It typically grows to 3.5 m tall and 2 m wide and responds well to trimming which encourages new growth. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. “Fairy White” is commonly trimmed into a hedge, added to a mixed planting, grown as a specimen, included in cottage and “white” gardens, or maintained in a container.
