Magnolia Sweetheart Details

Magnolia Sweetheart is a popular deciduous tree due to its spectacular flowering. Red-purple buds open in spring to reveal fragrant, cup shaped flowers that are a lovely shade of pink. The blooms appear just before the foliage is borne. The leaves emerge mid-green in spring, age to dark green, then develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide and can be contained with trimming as necessary.
