Magnolia Manchu Fan is a deciduous tree grown for its spectacular flowering. It bears masses of large and showy, single, fragrant, pure white flowers which are borne on the naked stems before the foliage emerges in late winter and early spring. Foliage emerges soon after and is large, dark green, and lush. It typically grows to 6 m tall and 4 m wide and responds well to trimming. This variety grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates. Magnolia Manchu Fan is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, or used in avenue plantings. The beauty of this tree will please no matter where it is planted.
