Magnolia campbellii David Clulow is an outstanding deciduous tree due to its spectacular flowering. It bears masses of large and showy, white flowers with a hint of pink and cream in spring. The lovely blooms are borne on the naked stems before the foliage emerges. The leaves emerge mid-green in spring, age to become dark green, then develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 6 m tall and 5 m wide, though can be trimmed as necessary. This variety grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates.
