Magnolia Butterflies, commonly known as the Butterfly Magnolia Bush, is an outstanding variety due to its spectacular flowering and tidy growth habit. It bears masses of fragrant, cream-yellow flowers in spring. The showy flowers are borne on the naked stems before the foliage emerges, providing for both a dramatic and colourful display. The lush foliage emerges mid-green, ages to become a darker green, then develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows with a pyramidal shape to about 6 m tall and 4 m wide and can be trimmed and shaped as necessary. This tree grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site.
