Magnolia brooklynensis Woodsman is a tree grown for its spectacular flowering. It bears masses of showy flowers which are a mix of green, yellow, and pink during late spring. The large and lush foliage emerges green and develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. This deciduous tree typically grows to 8 m tall and 6 m wide, and responds well to trimming if growth needs to be contained. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates. Magnolia Woodsman is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting in a large garden, included in a large cottage garden, or planted to border an entrance.
