The showy flowers are complemented by lush foliage which emerges lime green in spring, ages to mid-green in summer, then develops red, orange, and yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright habit to produce a compact and somewhat rounded crown as it reaches 3.5 m tall and 3 m wide. It can be trimmed as necessary.
