Tawari
Ixerba brexioides, commonly known as tāwari, is a small, evergreen tree native to the North Island of New Zealand. It features glossy, toothed leaves and produces clusters of creamy white, nectar-rich flowers in spring, which attract birds and insects. Tāwari typically grows in moist, shaded forest environments and reaches up to 8 metres tall. It is well suited to native revegetation and forest garden settings. Tāwari is also known for producing a unique, golden honey with a rich flavour.
