Hakea salicifolia Gold Medal, commonly known as Pin-Cushion Flower, is a small tree grown for its colourful flowers and foliage. Pincushion-like, pink and cream flowers are produced during late winter and spring. The flowers are complemented with lush foliage that is yellow-green with pink highlights. It typically grows to 5 m tall and 3 m wide but can be trimmed and shaped as necessary. It performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of moderate frost, poor soils, and coastal environments.
