“Skyline” is an impressive, deciduous tree grown for its lovely form and colourful foliage. It carries fine and lush, dark green foliage through spring and summer which turns a bright yellow in autumn before falling. The foliage display is very aesthetic. It grows as an upright spreading tree with a single trunk to about 15 m tall and 6 m wide though it can be trimmed as necessary. This is a hardy tree that grows best in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate frosts, cool climates, and coastal conditions but does require a degree of wind protection to avoid broken branches. “Skyline” makes for a lovely specimen and is ideal for adding to a mixed planting, for avenue planting, or using to border an entranceway. With trimming it is also well suited to outdoor living areas where it will provide good shade.
