“Emerald Cascade” is a deciduous tree grown for its fabulous, cascading foliage. It produces emerald-green leaves which are glossy and held on slender, pendulous branches. The foliage develops colourful yellow tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 2.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frosts, cool climates, and coastal conditions but does require wind protection and will produce a better tree if it is looked after while it establishes. “Emerald Cascade” is commonly grown as a specimen, included in mixed plantings, planted around an entranceway, used in avenue plantings, or maintained as the centrepiece in a courtyard garden.
