Ginkgo 'Saratoga' is a variety of Ginkgo biloba that has distinctive and lush foliage which emerges dark green in spring and remains this way until autumn. As autumn progresses, the leaves develop bright yellow tones before falling, forming a golden carpet around the tree. It grows with a somewhat columnar habit, reaching approximately 12 m in height and 5 m in width. Ginkgo 'Saratoga' is commonly used in street and avenue plantings, planted for shelter and screening, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or grown as a specimen. It is also great for planting to soften a large, bland wall or for creating a lush landscape around water features, such as ponds and streams.
