Fraxinus angustifolia Details

Fraxinus angustifolia, commonly known as the Narrow Leaf Ash, is a large and stately, deciduous tree that grows to about 20 m tall and 8 m wide. This broad tree carries narrow, dark green leaves which are held densely. These develop impressive purple tones in autumn before falling. It grows best when planted in full sun a well-drained site and will tolerate wind, dry periods, cool climates, frost, and coastal conditions. The Plant Company advises protecting the tree and staking it while it establishes which will result in a better specimen.
