Fagus sylvatica 'Pendula' (Weeping Beech), commonly known as the Weeping European Beech tree, features a broad and spreading crown of pendulous branches. The glossy leaves on this weeping Beech tree emerge mid-green in spring, age to dark green in summer, then develop yellow-brown tones in autumn before eventually falling as it grows to 8 m tall and 6 m wide. This Weeping Beech makes for a lovely specimen, with mature specimens making a dramatic statement in the landscape, and is commonly used for avenue planting, screening, or added to a mixed planting in a large garden.
