Eucryphia x nymansensis Nymansay

“Nymansay” is a variety of Eucryphia that features stunning and fragrant flowers set amidst glossy foliage. It grows as a vigorous, broadly columnar, evergreen tree with glossy, dark green leaves. The single, white flowers are produced in such proliferation through summer that they literally transform the tree. The display is spectacular and establishes a lovely contrast with the foliage. It typically grows to 12 m tall and 3 m wide, but can be trimmed as necessary. This variety grows best in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site but is tolerant of heavier soils and moderate frost once established. “Nymansay” is commonly grown as a specimen, included in mixed plantings in larger gardens, maintained in a courtyard garden, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or grown to provide screening.
