Large and showy, white flowers adorn the tree in spring and are followed by red berries in autumn which are great for attracting birds. It grows with a narrow, upright, multi-trunked habit carrying dark green leaves. As autumn progresses the leaves develop impressive shades of red before falling. It grows with a rounded shape to about 3 m tall and 2.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and periods of dry once established.
