It grows with an upright, multi-trunked, vase shape and carries dark green leaves which develop colourful shades of red and orange before falling in late autumn. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide. Cornus kousa Chinensis is a small, deciduous tree grown for its impressive flowering and attractive form. Large and showy, white flowers adorn the tree in spring and are followed by red berries in summer which are great for attracting birds. It grows with an upright, multi-trunked, vase shape and carries dark green leaves. As autumn progresses the leaves develop colourful shades of red and orange before falling. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. Cornus Chinensis is commonly grown as a specimen and is great for including in a mixed planting, planting to border an entranceway, using in avenue plantings, or including in a cottage garden.
