Cornus florida Old Gold is a small, deciduous tree grown for its colourful foliage. The foliage emerges golden yellow in spring, then ages to become an antique gold colour in summer. It grows with a somewhat rounded habit to about 3 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry.
