Cornus alternifolia Argentea Details

Cornus alternifolia Argentea, commonly known as the Pagoda Dogwood, is a small, deciduous tree renowned for its beautiful foliage and impressive stature. The branches are held in layers with green and white variegated foliage carried on red stems. The foliage lightens during autumn before falling. It typically grows with a pyramidal and layered shape to 5 m tall and 3 m wide. Best performance with this tree is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates. Cornus Argentea makes for a fantastic specimen and is also great for including in a mixed planting, or avenue planting. If space permits a cluster of three provides for a more dramatic display.
