The foliage is enhanced with clusters of small, white flowers in spring which develop into purple berries that hang from the tree. It typically grows to 10 m high and 4 m wide. Coriaria arborea is best suited to revegetation projects. Please note: all parts of this plant are poisonous.

Coriaria arborea Details

Coriaria arborea, commonly known as Tutu, is a NZ native tree that features glossy green foliage. The foliage is enhanced with clusters of small, white flowers in spring which develop into purple berries that hang from the tree. It typically grows to 10 m high and 4 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best growth is achieved when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of most soil conditions except the extremes of wet and dry. It will also tolerate frost and cool climates. Coriaria arborea is best suited to revegetation projects. Please note: all parts of this plant are poisonous.
