The Cercis canadensis Hearts of Gold tree, commonly known as the Redbud Tree or Hearts Of Gold Redbud, is a small and popular, deciduous tree grown for its impressive foliage and pretty blossoms. The heart-shaped leaves emerge bright yellow in spring, age to become dark green, then develop red and yellow tones in autumn before falling. Masses of small, pink blossoms are produced as the foliage emerges. It grows with a broad and rounded canopy to about 4.5 m tall and 3.5 m wide. Cercis Hearts of Gold is commonly grown as a specimen, used in avenues, planted to border an entrance, or included in a mixed planting.

The Cercis canadensis Hearts of Gold tree, commonly known as the Redbud Tree or Hearts Of Gold Redbud, is a small and popular, deciduous tree grown for its impressive foliage and pretty blossoms. The heart-shaped leaves emerge bright yellow in spring, age to become dark green, then develop red and yellow tones in autumn before falling. Masses of small, pink blossoms are produced as the foliage emerges. It grows as either a multi-stemmed or single-trunked tree with a broad and rounded canopy to about 4.5 m tall and 3.5 m wide and can easily be contained with trimming. Best results with this tree are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained, reasonably sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. Cercis Hearts of Gold is commonly grown as a specimen, used in avenues, planted to border an entrance, or included in a mixed planting.
