New leaves emerge a light green in spring, age to become dark green, then develop colourful yellow tones in autumn before falling. The bark is predominantly white and provides character to this tree, particularly during winter as it reaches 25 m tall and 8 m wide. Betula albosinensis makes for a lovely specimen and is great for parks and large gardens, using in an avenue planting, or growing to make a bold statement at an entrance.
