Aesculus indica Sydney Pearce, commonly known as the Indian Horse Chestnut, is a lovely, spreading tree. It bears large, upright sprays of white with yellow markings and flushed with pink in summer. Brown coloured fruits result from the flowers in autumn. The foliage comprises large, glossy, dark green leaves which change to yellow before falling in autumn as it grows to 12 m tall and the same wide. Aesculus indica Sydney Pearce is commonly used a shade tree, in avenue or park plantings, as a specimen in a large garden, or incorporate into a mixed planting.

Aesculus Sydney Pearce, commonly known as the Indian Horse Chestnut, is a lovely, spreading tree. It bears large, upright sprays of white with yellow markings and flushed with pink in summer. Brown coloured fruits result from the flowers in autumn. The foliage comprises large, glossy, dark green leaves which change to yellow before falling in autumn. It typically grows to 12 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. Is does not tolerate drought but can be grown in cool climates and it will handle frost. Aesculus Sydney Pearce is commonly used a shade tree, in avenue or park plantings, as a specimen in a large garden, or incorporate into a mixed planting.
