Leaves on this deciduous tree emerge pink in spring, age to purple-red in summer, then turn scarlet red as autumn progresses before falling. This Japanese Maple typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 1.8 m wide with a vase shape. Acer palmatum 'Pixie' makes for a fantastic specimen tree and is also ideal for mixed plantings, planting to soften a bland wall, planting around outdoor living areas, or for growing anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
