Leaves on this small, deciduous tree emerge bronze-green in spring, age to a fresh green, then turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red in autumn before falling. Trees will typically grow to 3 m tall and the same wide. Acer palmatum Eddisbury is a magnificent specimen which is ideal for mixed plantings, avenues, using as a specimen in a smaller garden, or planting anywhere the spectacular autumn colours can be enjoyed.

Acer palmatum Eddisbury is a variety of Coral Bark Maple grown for its rich display of colourful foliage and bark. Leaves on this small, deciduous tree emerge bronze-green in spring, age to a fresh green, then turn brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red in autumn before falling. Young branches have red coloured bark which adds extra interest to this plant when the leaves have fallen. Trees will typically grow to 3 m tall and the same wide, performing best in full sun on a well-drained site. It will grow on a range of soil types but will struggle at the extremes of wet and dry and are also tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. Acer palmatum Eddisbury is a magnificent specimen which is ideal for mixed plantings, avenues, using as a specimen in a smaller garden, or planting anywhere the spectacular autumn colours can be enjoyed.
