Acer palmatum dissectum Green Mist is an impressive, small, Japanese maple featuring a rich display of interestingly coloured, gently weeping foliage. The finely cut leaves emerge light green, mature to a darker green during summer, then turn crimson red before falling in autumn. It typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, moderately sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates and will grow on a range of soil types but will struggle at the extremes of wet and dry.
