The fine, ribbon-like leaves on this deciduous, small tree emerge dark red, then age to have bronze and green tones. As autumn progresses, they develop impressive red and orange tones before falling. It typically grows to 4 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with is tree are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will grow on a range of soil types but will struggle at the extremes of wet and dry and are also tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry.
