“Japanese Sunrise” is an impressive Japanese Maple featuring a rich display of delicate foliage and colourful stems. Leaves on this deciduous tree emerge lime green then age to dark green before turning various shades of yellow in autumn and falling. Bark colours can range from almost yellow to coral red depending on the time of year and age of the bark. It typically grows to 5 m tall and 3 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this tree is achieved when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It will grow on a range of soil types and is tolerant of cool climates and frost. “Japanese Sunrise” is a magnificent specimen well suited for mixed plantings, large gardens, planting in parks, or using for avenue planting.
