The leaves on this deciduous tree emerge bronze-purple, mature to an olive-green, then develop bright yellow and orange tones in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright and spreading habit to about 8 m tall and 4 m wide. Acer campbellii Gwavas is well suited to growing as a specimen, using in avenue planting, or including in a mixed planting in a larger garden.

Acer campbellii Gwavas, commonly known as Campbells Himalayan Maple, is a lovely, small specimen tree. The leaves on this deciduous tree emerge bronze-purple, mature to an olive-green, then develop bright yellow and orange tones in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright and spreading habit to about 8 m tall and 4 m wide. This Maple grows best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained site and is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and moderate wind.
