Acer Butterfly is a variety of Japanese Maple grown for its rich display of delicate foliage. Leaves on this deciduous tree are variegated green and silver-white with touches of pink in spring. Some leaves may have no variegation whereas other may be entirely cream. As autumn progresses the leaves develop scarlet red tones before falling. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide. Acer Butterfly is a lovely specimen that is ideal for mixed plantings, planting against a stark wall, or for growing anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.

Acer Butterfly is a variety of Japanese Maple grown for its rich display of delicate foliage. Leaves on this deciduous tree are variegated green and silver-white with touches of pink in spring. Some leaves may have no variegation whereas other may be entirely cream. As autumn progresses the leaves develop scarlet red tones before falling. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. Butterfly will grow on a range of soil types but will struggle at the extremes of wet and dry. Acer Butterfly is a lovely specimen that is ideal for mixed plantings, planting against a stark wall, or for growing anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
