Acer Armstrong is a distinctive Maple grown for its narrow, upright growth habit and fabulous autumn colours. This fast-growing tree produces a spectacular display of autumn colour as the lush green leaves turn red and begin to fall. The grey bark and brick red branches add further interest to this tree. It typically grows to 15 m tall and 6 m wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site with some wind protection. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. Acer Armstrong is an excellent choice for the medium to large sized garden or as a feature tree in a smaller garden. It is also well suited to planting near a plain background such as a building or using in an avenue planting.
