Senecio jacobsenii, commonly known as the Trailing Jade Plant, is a succulent grown for its spreading foliage. It carries fleshy, green leaves that may develop purple tones during hot periods. This South African native will typically grow to 10 cm tall and 20 cm wide. Senecio jacobsenii is often used as a houseplant but can equally be grown outdoors, provided it is protected from frost. It is well-suited to rock gardens, Mediterranean-themed gardens, pool areas, or being maintained in a container.
