Lawyers Tongue

Commonly known as Lawyers Tongue, this is a popular and colourful succulent. The fleshly and mottled leaves emerge with red tones and age to become dark green. Flower stems bearing pink-orange flowers are often produced in late winter. It grows as a somewhat sporadic clump to about 20 cm tall and the same wide, but often reaches only half this size when grown in a container. This variety prefers to grow in full sun on a well-drained site, and will tolerate light frost and extended dry periods. Lawyers Tongue is commonly grown in rock and Mediterranean gardens, maintained in a container, or used in border plantings.
