Crassula arborescens, commonly known as the Silver Jade Plant or Silver Dollar Jade, is a succulent grown for its interesting and colourful foliage. It produces short stems that host fleshy, light green leaves edged with red, and held with a stacked appearance. Small, yellow-green flowers will often adorn the plant in summer. It typically grows to 1.1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of extended dry periods and light frost once established. Crassula arborescens is commonly added to rock and Mediterranean themed gardens, planted around pools and other outdoor living areas, or simply maintained in a container.
