Aloe thraskii, commonly known as the Dune Aloe, is a succulent that carries fleshy, green-grey leaves arranged in a large rosette, held off an upright stem. The foliage is complemented with yellow flowers from winter through to spring. This sculptural plant typically grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Aloe thraskii is commonly maintained in a container, added to succulent and rock garden plantings, used in the drier parts of the garden, included in Mediterranean-themed gardens, or included in mixed plantings to contrast with other foliage types.
