Aloe pluridens, commonly known as French Aloe, is grown for its interesting foliage and impressive flower stems. It bears succulent and fleshy, green leaves with small teeth that are held in a downward manner. Stems emerge during winter to bear tubular, red flowers as it grows to 2 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Aloe pluridens is commonly used as an architectural feature, included in coastal and Mediterranean themed gardens, or planted in the drier areas of the garden.
