Aeonium Velour Details

Aeonium Velour is a succulent grown for its symmetrical rosettes of variegated, fleshy leaves held on short stems. The leaves are glossy and a dark chocolate and purple colour with the centre of the rosette tending to be light green. A flower spike will sometimes emerge during summer from the centre of the rosette to bear small, pale-yellow flowers. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. Plants are tolerant of drought conditions, coastal environments, and light frost. Aeonium Velour is an excellent choice for planting in the more arid parts of the garden, including in rock gardens, adding to mixed plantings, planting around outdoor living areas, or maintaining in a container.
