Aeonium Sunburst Details

Aeonium Sunburst is a variety of succulent grown for its symmetrical rosettes of variegated, fleshy leaves held on short stems. The leaves are bright yellow towards the centre of the rosette and age to become striped with cream and light green. The tips of the leaves may develop pink tones when grown in full sun. In summer, a flower spike sometimes emerges from the centre of the rosette to bear small, pale yellow flowers. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. Plants are tolerant of light frost only and require protection from strong winds. They are, however, tolerant of dry soils and coastal environments. Aeonium Sunburst is excellent for planting in the more arid parts of the garden, rock gardens, mixed plantings, or for using where something unusual and bright is required.
